Flight to Paradise

About

A short game for Mini Jam 99, where blue birds try to fly their way to freedom through a labyrinth of gigantic sawblades. Though many of them won't make it, their desire for freedom shall be passed on in a perilous relay.

This game only uses the keyboard (WASD or arrow keys + spacebar). WASD and arrow keys are inter-exchangeable.

Controls

W/S (up arrow / down arrow) keys : Rotate up / down.
A/D (left arrow / right arrow) keys : Slow down / speed up.
Spacebar : Die and pass control to the next bird on the screen. Does nothing if there isn't any other bird visible.

Scoring Information

Here are some notes for the people who want to achieve high scores:

• You get score based on your progress in the game. Finishing the game gives you a minimum of 10000 points.
• Each nimbus (white blobs) gives 100 points.
• To maximize the time bonus (10000 points), you must finish in less than 110 seconds.
• The sawblade patterns are predictable based on your start time, so some good planning can optimize your run even further.
